MUTLIPSYCH AT UIC

DR. DAVID MILLER
Assistant Professor
Department of Hispanic and Italian Studies
University of Illinois at Chicago
I'm a psycholinguist interested in all things bilingualism. I'm particularly interested in the connection between human language, cognition, and behavior. I investigate topics such as bilingualism and multilingualism, (adult) second language acquisition, and pay particular attention to the processing of language meaning.

WHO AM I?
Personal Profile
My interest in language started when I learned Spanish as an adult. The ways in which learning a second language enabled me to communicate with new people, integrate into new cultures, and become aware of the impact of language meaning on human behavior catalyzed my academic career. With degrees in Spanish Teaching, Hispanic Linguistics, and now Clinical Language Sciences, my passion is all things language, including its acquisition, processing and broader influence on its users.
